Revamping Deesen – Efficient refurbishment of a 4 MW photovoltaic plant

The challenge

The photovoltaic system, commissioned in 2013, began showing irregular faults in inverters from a specific batch after several years of operation. The goal was to ensure the long-term performance and operational reliability of the 4 MWp system – with minimal downtime and a forward-looking use of resources.

The photovoltaic system showed intermittent inverter failures
Preventive and long-term optimization was carried out during operation
Result: Reliability and efficiency of the system permanently ensured

The Pfalzwerke solution

Revamping with a focus on efficiency and future orientation

With its many years of experience in the PV sector and its own planning expertise, we developed a tailor-made concept for the targeted repair of the photovoltaic system. Instead of carrying out standardised replacement measures, the focus was on preventive and long-term optimisation:

Defective and potentially affected inverters were repaired or preventively overhauled
Plant operation remained largely stable during the work
Short intervention time: After only about a week, the 4 MW plant was fully operational again
